Bolt Action terrain

Hello everyone!

I have finally managed to find some hobby time and finish some terrain pieces I had laying around for some time now! I wanted to make my collection of terrain bigger and more Bolt Action specific and these Ziterdes pieces were just perfect!

so, after an afternoon of work, these are the results:

Nothing special here, just out of the box assembly and paintjobs. As always, I would love to hear what you think.

Temple of Skulls and more Confrontation goodies

Hello people!

I have just finished painting a Games Workshop terrain piece to use mainly for my Confrontation games, but Fantasy is also an option lately, mainly because of the awesome Fantasy releases that really got me thinking of revisiting Warhammer Fantasy after all this time.

Here is the finished terrain

Adeptus Arbites Precinct sees some live action

Hello everyone! I played a little 1850 pts game with my friends on Sunday, My Imperial Fists versus his Grey Knights plus a little help from his Imperial Knight! (So it was a Knight-Knights alliance :P ). It was the perfect timing to try my brand new terrain piece as well, My Adeptus Arbites Precinct.

Here are some shots I took from that night, showing some big guys action! Hope you like them!

Highlights from the game were definitely what the Imperial Knight did, my Fists managing to blow 5 Hull points off of him with 2 precision shots, but in the meantime he reduced the Land Raider to a melting blob and charger Lysander. The poor Captain, all that he managed to do was to take the last Hull Point with him before he died into a catastrophic explosion. Pretty cinematic if you ask me! I really enjoyed the game and definitely will add a Knight in my Ranks soon! ;)

On a further notice, I have been asked to take some shots with an Arbites model next to the terrain to show its scale better. Here are some shots I took.

Till next time take care!

Adeptus Arbites 969th Precinct

Hello everyone!

I have been trying to control myself and gather my drooling over the new Imperial Knight Titan (I will succumb to the voices eventually) mostly because I have started a new project and I am really excited about its progress, especially now with all those rumors about the Astra Militarum and the Militarum Tempestus.

So what I am about to show you today is something a little different than the things you usually see in the blogosphere nowadays.

I have always had a crush on Adeptus Arbites. Maybe because I am a huge Dredd fan as well. I am the proud owner of a full classic Arbites squad (more on these bad boys on later post) and I would like something to call themselves home. On the other hand I have been toying with the idea to make some new terrain pieces and the result came pretty much on itself.

The bunkers, the gate and the wall section is all from Quantum Gothic, a very cool company making some awesome terrain. Sadly they seem to be out of business since their store is out of order quite a long time now. The main building is from a Syberclicks set

I stuck all the pieces to an MDF board, using various other pieces of card, bits and pieces from various other kits. So now its ready to throw some paint on it! Can't wait to get it finished!

I would love to hear what you guys think so far!

on a sidenote, take a look at my ebay auctions in case you haven't noticed, raising some money to get that shiny new Knight Titan! :)

Till next time, take care everybody!

Blog down, call out the air support!

Hello everyone!

During the past 5 days or so my blog was inaccessible... there was a splash screen instead with an oops message (covering the usual google twisted sense of humor) informing the user that if the problem persists try refreshing the page (duh)

The problem obviously persisted ... and to a whole bunch of bloggers out there as well. Google support forums filled with bloggers complaining about the same issue. And it seemed to be a really persistent one, taking google support 5 days to apply a fix that solved the problem as a whole and not partly...
Anyways, enough with my rumblings... I would like your feedback on how good you can read my blog now.

On a more hobby-like side of events, I managed to finish a piece of terrain I had laying in my closet for quite a long time now, the Skyshield Landing Pad, and hopefully this will be the start of a long range of terrain pieces I am planning to create.

A really nice kit, lots of detail as in all of GW's terrain kits and a real pleasure to paint, although nothing out of the ordinary again. Lots of airbrushing work and a small stencil to make the V1 marking in the middle. I would love to hear what you think and leave me a vote on CoolMiniOrNot :) !

Hitting my playlist hard, its the new Answer album! Play it loud!

Our new Warhammer table and Terrain!

Hello again! This time I would like to share with you the progress of a table that I am building with a friend.

It has always been a dream to build my own table one day, in a place where I could spread all my bits and pieces of modelling activity. A place where I could create all these terrain pieces I always wanted and play battles the way I would like.

This childhood dream has finally come to life in the past few months where I am in the process of building a Warhammer table along with a friend.

You could try and guess what is the next terrain piece prepared on the back table...not the big board, that is something for future posts to discuss... :P

As you can see we've started by creating a generic table with lots of woods and hills, some craters and of course the regular ruins. I am really pleased with the way these pieces came out and I can't wait to play my first battle in it! Unfortunately most pics are not so good as they were taken in a hurry but I will definitely get some more good shots when I get the chance! Hopefully this will happen tomorrow so keep an eye for an update, maybe a battle report but definitely some pics.

So what do you think so far? Any terrain ideas you would like to share?
